2 Blue projects - Scrapmatts

HI all Well first of all, Merry Christmas, I all hope that you were all just a little bit spoilt this year. I have done 2 projects this month from the same paper pack. The first is a layout that I have used a Scrapmatts stencil and texture paste in the background. Then have added some Scrapmatts chipboard pieces as accents. Some I have painted blue, then finished with either waxes or glossy accents, other pieces I have left in the raw.

My second project is an altered frame. The frame was one that I had at home and I altered using painted, ultra thick embossing powder, a rubber stamp and some waxes. I have then fussy cut and layered lots of flowers and birtds on one side. The chipboard pieces have been simply painted with either blue or white paint and tucked in to finish of my project. The white chipboard pieces were branches on a chipboard tree that I have cut off and tucked in.

A bit darker this time - Scrapmatts

Good morning all This month my layout is a bit darker than I usually do, but have to admit, I quite like the end product. I have also made the stencilling and the chipboard the main focus rather than choosing chipboard to suite my project.

I started by choosing this photo that I got from a free image site I found on google (sorry I can't remember which one to credit the photograper), then used the stencil and texture paste on the left side. I then gently sprayed some shimmer spray over the top of the whole page just to soften the black a little I then fussy cut the flowers and layed them so that they kind of look like wings for the photo. Under some of the flower I cut little pieces of the lace and glued underneather the tip of the flower

The chipboard was all donne with embossing powder, the frame (I love this frame!!) I just used black embossing powder. I was going to do 2 layers, but I liked that in some places you could see through to the natural chipboard, Te butterflies were done with a Lindys Desert Moon Turquoise, which is a shimmery sheer coverage which I really liked as it gives a sense of movement for the butterflies as the page moves.

The title, I will have to admit my hubby sent me to our local $2 shop to get some Mason jars for jam he was making, and I couldn't resist walking through their craft section and I found these little bags of scrabble tiles. Below are the Scrapmatts products that I have used that you can get at

2 quite different projects - Scrapmatts

Hi all This month I have done 2 very different projects. The first one was a lot of fun using something a bit different for the base of my page

I used this masculine page to scrap my photo from when I met Tim Holtz in Phoenix in 2019. on the chipboard I used Lindys Magicals mixed in a bit of water then painted on like a glaze. I then added glossy accents to the light caps to give them some shine

For my 2nd project I went opposite, back to my girly, fussy cut style. The chipboard flowers were done blending different distress oxide colours to try and give them a softer more natural look.

Scrapmatts - a little bit of fussy cutting

Hi all This month I've done 2 projects, a cute page of my friend's very cute daughter, then an altered paint pallet.

This is a simple layout done with layered fussy cut flowers. I kept the chipboard natural on this project.

For the title I had just the words left from a previous project

my paint pallet was done with a couple of layers of paint and crackle glaze. I then added some pale blue paint to some texture paste to spread through my Scrapmatts stencil.

The flourish chipboard was simply inked with black ink, then the flourishes next to the paint brushes had a light layer of white gesso over the top

Scrapmatts - Tule (too-lay) Fog

This month my intention was to do a masculine page with these rustic papers and rustic chipboard pieces, but then I came across this amazing photo and the plan changed.

The was taken in San Luis Obispo County near Cholame, CA on Rt. 41 taken on  17th January 2020 by a friend of my parents. She has taken some of the most amazing photos and I have permission to use and share them, so you will see more as the year goes on.

Lorrie told me that the fog is called Tule (or too-lay) Fog - I love this!

I started the page by adding some texture paste on the base page using the Scrapmatts stencil Gears using a bronzy coloured texture paste

I had 3 different size photos (all the same photo) and have added a photo matt for each using white cardstock then attached them together using foam tape so that you can see a bit more of the one underneath

All of the Scrapmatts chipboard was just simply inked with pinecone ink and attached to the page using clear drying glue

The flowers were handmade using some of the left over patterened paper

Embellish With Flair - Vintage Dolls

Vintage Dolls with Heather

Hi all

I've been a bit slack and not posted for a while, but I have some new and very cute flairs to play with, and I started with these Vintage Doll flairs

I decided to go back to cards again, and challenged myself to just use the card base, this beautiful range from Stamperia, a metre of cotton lace, and a little bit of muslin

I have added dimension by adding layers of different patterned paper, then almost paper tolling the dress and the flowers with foam tape

The last card is an envelope that was in the paperpack, so I have just assembled it and added it to my card and used it as a pocket to add the tags

All the piecesd have been distressed with a distressing tool then had the edges inked with pinecone ink
