Puppy Love

Hi all

This is a project that I did for Embellish With Flair at the start of last month. The kit will be available at The Scrapbook Superstore - https://www.scrapbooksuperstore.com.au/

I love this photo of my new puppy, Enzo. And these papers and flairs were perfect.
I didn't want to add much colour, but decided to add the touches of gold to represent Enzo's brown patches.
The design for the layout has come from the sketch below that a couple of us are using.

Scrapmatts - My Vietnam Trip

This is my latest blog for Scrapmatts - there will be another in a few days.

These layouts will also be taught as a class at the Scrapbook Superstore sometime in the near future, and off course still featuring the lovely Scrapmatts chipboard. Keep and eye on their website for more details

Hi all
This month I have done a series of 3 layouts and used some photos from my trip to Vietnam last year

Each layout has some basic mixed media using stencils, texture paste, wax paint, crackle paste

The chipboard is finished using pinecone ink and some also have glossy accents

The products I have used are:

Thanks for having a look at my layouts.
If you have any questions about the layouts or techniques used, please feel free to add a comment at the bottom

Emellish With Flair - a couple of quick cards

Hi all. This is my latest post for Embellish With Flair

Well its that time of year where things get crazy and there isn't much time to get that last minute needed card done, and its the end of the year and our stash is running low.

So this time I've left my "more is more" theme behind and have made 2 cards that show how flairs are a great way to make a quick but still a nice and effective card that you can happily and proudly add to your gift.

These cards are also made very few things. They are just a white card base, some white cardstock, a random piece of patterned paper that I had in my stash, a couple of Darkroom Door stamp sets and some Wendy Vecchi water based inks that I have made the background with as well as used to watercolour the bird and butterfly. The cards are then are finished off with a complimentary sentiment and of course the Embellish With Flair flairs.

Now of course, these would also be very easy to add a lot more too if you have the extra time - maybe a couple of flowers, some ribbon/twine, some bling, more mixed media on the background rather than patterned paper - the possibilities are endless.

I hope that these were able to inspire you to create, even when you don't have a lot of to create.

Thanks again

Heather

My Last My Bestie DT Post

Hi all

Well this is my last project as a design team member for My Besties International Blog Challenge. I have had a great time designing with these amazing images and the most amazing team, and image designer, Sherri Ann Baldy!! Thank you!!

So this time instead of doing a card which can get lost, or get given away, I thought I'd do a journal page, that way I have it as long as I have my journal.

I was also inspired by a class that I did with the amazing Tracy Scott over the weekend. The journal page is done using PaperArtsy paints, stencils and stamps

The image is coloured using copic markers, and can be purchased at:

My Besties International

This month the theme is Halloween. I decided not to go with normal Halloween colors but stick with my favourite softer vintage colors.
I kept the background simple using a #Darkroom Door stencil with Distress Oxides. The chipboard is from #scrapmatts

Embellish With Flair - Steampunk

Hi all
I had fun trying my hand at steampunk this time using these very cute cog flairs

The papers from Stamperia were a perfect match for these flairs.
The chipboard are pieces I had from partly used packets. They are inked with pine cone ink then finished with a combination of distress crackle and sprays.
I have added accents by using black gesso and an arrow stencil. The final touch was just a little bit of copper leaf.

The photo is of my hubby when we visited the Chu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam last year, he was braver than me and went down into them.
