Copictopia Design Team - Bunny Trails

  Good morning

Today I am using the Bunny Trail stamp set

Again, I have kept the card very simple, but everything that is colour is copic markers, including the heart and the matting piece in behind. I didn't have any coloured cardstock in my stash, but this was a perfect way of making sure all of my accessories for my card match perfectly to this super cute image

Copictopia Design Team - Rare and Extraordinary

Good morning. Today I've done these super cute tags using images and quotes from the Rare and Extraordinary stamp set.

I remembered a conversation with Meadow one day and how she liked neon colours, so these tags were designed with her in mind.

I started by colouring in the very cute critters with my copic markers, but I've added some neon gel pens to their horns (sorry if i've not called that correctly)

The ribbons were a white ribbon that I soaked in some neon paints mixed with a little water to give the mottled neon looked.

The background on my tag was simply done by using my VersaMark pen and ruler and some neon embossing powder.

Copics used:
C3, C2, C0, 0

Copictopia Design Team - Meadow on a Clamshell

Hi. Heather here. My card today I've used this really cute image, Meadow on a Clamshell.

I've kept her soft and pretty with the pinks and teal colours. I've also added some polka dots to her tail rather than the usual scale marks.

The background is done using my Tombo Markers around the rim of a jar lid to make the circle, then using some water on a paint brush to pull the colours into the circle to make it look like a bubble. I loved that it looked like she is underwater without using obvious water lines.

Copictopia Design Team - Gifts Galore Meadow

Hi. Heather here. We all need birthday cards again at the beginning of each year, and I loved this image, it was great for birthday or Christmas cards.

I kept "Meadow" very soft and pretty with the soft pinks and soft brown hair. This left me plenty of colours to play with for the gifts. I will say that I cheated and used a gold gel pen for the ribbon on 2 of the gifts. It gave the card a bit of bling as well.

The background was done using Distress Oxides, Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. Simply just blended on to the card using a blending tool. Then lightly spritzed with water, allowing some larger drops, then leaving for about 10 seconds then blotting with a paper towel to remove the water and leave the water drop effect on the card.
I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Happy Birthday die, then attached the card front (4"x5.75") to my card. Meadow was fussy cut out and attached to the card using foam dots.
The card was then finished by adding a bit more bling by using the clear diamantes.

Copictopia Design Team - At Ease

Hi. Heather again. Today I'm working with this super cute turtle from the At Ease collection. I love his little smiley face!

I coloured him with greens, but more in the khaki green range with a hint of light green towards the centre of his face. His shell I tried a few different colours but liked the end result of these mauve colours.

To do the background I printed another image onto another piece of paper to create a mask for my coloured turtle. I then very gently sprayed with a Tiffany Blue spray and a Sheer Shimmer Spray. I then carefully removed my mask and dried my cardfront. once dry I used a black pen to draw in the scribble border and touch up the title where it needed it.

Copics used:
G24, YG03, YG11
E44, E43, E41
V28, V25, V22, B63

Copictopia Design Team - Flounderin Around

Hi. Heather here. I've been playing with these super cute images from the Flounderin Around set in the April pre-order.

I loved the teal and pinky/purple colours for this mermaid, they are a great pop of colour, they blend nicely, and are just so girly and feminine.

The fish have been done in a blue and a pop of yellow to give a bit of a contrast to what was already happening on the card.

The background was done on my gel plate using distress oxide inks and was just spraying with a little bit of water the ink that was left over from previous lifts. It gave this great mottled effect which I thought was great for an underwater effect without being obviously water. I've also added a circle die cut with some silver glitter cardstock to add some bling and water shine.

Copics used:
SKIN - E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
EYES - B45, G24
TAIL - BG49, BG45, BG23, BG11
HAIR - RV66, V05, RV63
TOP - Y35, Y15, Y13
FISH - B45, B21, B000, Y38, Y17, Y15

Thank You.
Heather

Copictopia Design Team - Mummy Mona

 Good morning.

When I saw this stamp from Copictopia, I knew exactly what the end product would look like straight away. I love it when a product does that!!

I knew that the front of the card would be a dirty cream colour to look like old bandages, I even tucked in some medical gauze that I added ink to. So Mummy Mona had to be a bright colour, and what brighter than red??

The background was done using strips of cream cardstock layered at different angles with medical gauze tucked in.

Copic markers used were: E21, E11, E00, E000, E44, E43, E42, E41, B21, G21, R29, R27, R43, RV25, R43, R21, W3, W2, W1, W0, 0

Copictopia Creative Design Team - New Arrival Stamp Set

Good morning all. I'm very excited to share my very first project for Copictopia Creative's Design Team. They are a relatively new company based in North Carolina USA, and have some very cute images perfect for coloring, which is one of my favourite crafty things to do.

I have used the New Arrival Elephants Clear Stamp Set and have added some flowers from the Bunny Trail Stamp Set.

I really haven't done anything to the card to decorate it other than add the images, as they were so soft and pretty I didn't want anything to distract from them. I have colored them using soft greys, pinks and yellows. The flowers I have molded a little to give some dimension. Then simply matted on some black cardstock to give it a frame.

The card dimensions are:

DL Card

Black Matt - 7.5" (wide) x 3.75" (tall)

Card Front - 7.25" x 3.5"

I tend to use foam tape on my projects to give height, but if you are putting your cards in the post, they can very easily just be attached using glue or double sided tape. When wrapping presents I use brown paper, or a very neutral colored paper, then use my card as the "bow" or pop of color on top, that way I don't need to worry about how to get my cards with height and accessories in an envelope.

COPIC COLOURS:

Elephant - C3, C2, C1, C0, 0

Pinks - R22, R20, R00, Y00

Yellows - Y08, 706, 700
