Creative Moments - #150 - Music Theme

This fortnight I got to do 2 cards for this music themed challenge.

The first card was using an image from Dr Digis. The 2nd project was using an image from Scribbles

For the background on this one I cut the heart just using white cardstock, then used a very pretty floral/music themed stencil and some texture paste. Then painted over it with black gesso. I then used my Prima waxes to give it the metallic look

 

Both of my images were coloured in using copic markers which I purchased from The Scrapbook Superstore in Penrith NSW

My Besties - Magic Theme

Well this month's theme was magic. My previous card was easier being "the magic of Christmas". This one is a little more subtle. The glitter frame frame represents the mirror in Snow White. The colours of the card represent the good witch in The Wizard of Oz's dress, being the pale pink and sparkles

Get Creative Challenge Blog

This is my first project as a design team member for Get Creative Challenge Blog.

I was given this cute image from Dr Digis and the challenge was to make a tag

The background is created using a box board base cut to a tag shape. Using a stencil and crackle texture paste to form the pattern. Then once dry painted over with black gesso. Then gently over the top I have used Prima's Art Alchemy Antique Brilliance Amethyst Magic and Mystic Turquoise, Art Alchemy Opal Magic Vintage Silk, and Art Alchemy Mettalique Brushed Iron. The image is coloured using copic markers

Creative Moments - #149 - Cat Theme

I love this image from My Besties. The theme was "Cats" and for those who know me, know that I'm not a cat girl, I'm even allergic to them.

But a couple of weeks ago the world lost a lovely lady who loved Cats, Denise Hayman. She spent a lot of her time volunteering with cats. So this one is for her.

My Besties Scandinavian Design Team

This is my first blog post for the My Besties Scandinavian Design Team, yay!!!

I was given a really cute image called "Jerome" to work with, although I have to say that I think that all the My Besties images are super cute. The theme was "magic", so I decided to go with the MAGIC of Christmas by adding lots of sparkle.

To create the background I used distress oxides and gold spray. The gold frame is a kaisercraft die, and the snowflakes are from Scrapmatts. I have coloured Jerome using my copic markers, making the most of "0" to give the distressed vintage look
