Creative Moments - #149 - Cat Theme

I love this image from My Besties. The theme was "Cats" and for those who know me, know that I'm not a cat girl, I'm even allergic to them.

But a couple of weeks ago the world lost a lovely lady who loved Cats, Denise Hayman. She spent a lot of her time volunteering with cats. So this one is for her.

My Besties Scandinavian Design Team

This is my first blog post for the My Besties Scandinavian Design Team, yay!!!

I was given a really cute image called "Jerome" to work with, although I have to say that I think that all the My Besties images are super cute. The theme was "magic", so I decided to go with the MAGIC of Christmas by adding lots of sparkle.

To create the background I used distress oxides and gold spray. The gold frame is a kaisercraft die, and the snowflakes are from Scrapmatts. I have coloured Jerome using my copic markers, making the most of "0" to give the distressed vintage look

Creative Moments - #148 Shaker Card

 

Well good morning all.

This fortnights challenge was a shaker card, and I was asked to use some images from Decosses Dynamite Doodles (http://decossesdynamitedoodles.blogspot.ca/p/blog-page_26.html

 

I have used their patterned paper in the background, their frame to form the shaker, and their very cute button butterflies which I have double layered and tied together with twine

I have also added a #Spellbinders die cut frame around the shaker, and #kaisercraft chipboard sentiments painted in white gesso and a combination of #kindyglitz and #glossyaccents over the top

Creative Moments #147 - Teddy Bears Picnic

This is my latest dt project for #creativemoments using an image from #winkwinkink , LuvBugs- www.winkwinkink.com - I decided to go off the page again for this teddy bears picnic theme.

I was originally going to do an easel card but saw the hoop and my imagination starred running. I used the wicker patterned paper, the corrugated paper and #49andmarket flowers to help with the outdoors theme

I coloured the image using #copicmarkers 

Creative Moments #146

Hi All.

Well I decided for this fortnights Creative Moments design team project to try an altered book.

So basically what I've done is gotten an old book (got rid of the dust cover), each roll in the centre is made up of approx. 5-10 pages, I didn't count, I just grabbed a bundle and have glued them down using 450 glue.

The pages left of the side I have torn and different levels, I've used a teal, blue and gold paint wash, then pulled some muslin (medical gauze) so that it is all stringy and glued between the layers of pages.

On the rolls I have used textured crackle paste, let it dry for a little while, then finished it off with a heat gun (I got impatient), I have then used yellow, beige, grey and gold paint and again done a paint wash over the top.

The sand is mini prills, A-Maized coloured.

The image is from Rick St Dennis (https://www.zibbet.com/rick1949) , although the kite was kindly hand drawn by my hubby, I can't draw, even something as simple as the kite. The image and the kite were coloured with #copic markers

Creative Moments #145

This is my card for Creative Moments challenge #145 using a Knitty Kitty image.

I decided to go with some soft vintage colours rather than traditional, I don't think I'm quite ready for Christmas yet.
I have coloured the snowman using copic markers. The circle and title are using Paperrose dies. I even found some little bells for the buttons

This very vintage card is for the Creative Moments challenge #144

I have used an image from Besties called Geeky Gertie- she was so much fun to colour and design with.

I couldn't help but revert back to my vintage style with these Stamparia papers, copic markers and some muslin.
