Love this Moment

Good morning This month I have started with Christmas and have done a layout using some vintage paper and book pages as the base to build from.
I have also added some of the Scrapmatts lace to the background for a softer feel to the base.
In amongst the fussy cut leaves on the bottom of the page i have added the Scrapmatts Twigs 02, which have just been very simply inked using a soft distress oxide ink.
The title CT058, was painted with red paint then glossy accents applied over the top once dry
Anyway, it was short and sweet this month, but hopefully I may have inspired you to think outside the norm when it comes to starting a scrapbook page. Thank you Heather

Beach Days

Good morning Well on this very wet February morning I have done a layout with a sunny beach theme.
In the background I have used stencil ST5054 Floral Design with a soft glossy texture paste, I let it dry natuarally so that it remained smooth and shiny.
Although I haven't added as many layers and fussy cut elements as usual, I have still added some to give some height and colour using this lovely range from 49 and Market The chipboard is CB6128 Card Elements - Shells. I have inked it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide and then done some white gel pen work on top. I have layered the chipboard under the photo and title at different hights and levels.

Scrapmatts for April project

Good morning This month I have surprised myself, and probably all of my scrappy friends and have done a double layout for you. I have had these gorgous papers for a little while and have been slowly scrapping a friend's daughter's wedding photos.
Once I figured out where all my fussy cutting and photos were going I then added some stencilling using ST5035 Hearts stencil and some Prima Opal Magic Acrylic Paint.
I had in my Scrapmatts stash an older chipboard pack, CB5078 3D Ornaments 04 which I keep forgetting to do each Christmas. So have used one part of it cut in half on an end of each photo. It is simply painted with the Prima paint to tie in with the stencilling.
For the titles, I have used a couple of the words from CB6131 Assorted Words 32, and have used a purple chalk marker to colour them before attaching to each page with clear drying glue.
Thank you for spending time with me again, and I hope you have a fun scrappy weekend. Heather

Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Image Blog Hop

Good evening
I am very happy to have been invited to be a part of this image blog hop. I have followed and coloured/used the Kinda Cute images for a few years now, they are all so cute.
I chose this very cute little monster and boy playing. I tried colouring the monster in a few different colours, but loved the fun of the green and purple, I could just picture it being a scene in a little boys dream.
Please use the links below to check out what other people have done with some of Patricia's super cute images https://kindacutebypatricia.blogspot.com https://savyakala.blogspot.com/ https://heatherwoodall.blogspot.com https://www.savyakala.blogspot.com https://www.heatherwoodall@blogspot.com http://craftinghelen.blogspot.com/ https://princessjessiecrafts.wordpress.com/blog-2/ https://jessicashevonnesco.wixsite.com/crazycatladycards https://kimkreates.blogspot.com http://1krazeemama.blogspot.com/ http://craftomania123.blogspot.com/ The prize will be 5 digital stamps. To have the chance of winning you just need to stop in all the blogs and leave a comment. Patricia will draw a random winner that follows all the rules and announce it on April 27th. Thank you Heather

Masculine birthday - Scrapmatts

Hi

This month I've been re-stocking my card, particularly birthday card stash. I came across this masculine paper range and paired it with some of my masculine Scrapmatts chipboard

I left some of the chipboard in the raw and other pieces I just simply inked with pinecone ink

I have layered both the papers with a combination of glue, double sided tape and foam tape. I have been asked on a number occasions what envelope I use for my dimensional cards, I don't. I like to wrap the present that it's going with, with brown paper, twine, ribbon, tulle etc and then use the card as the focal point.

Below are the chipboard packs that in have used on my cards, they can be found at

Thank you for spending time with me again this month

Zentangling - Scrapmatts

Good morning

This month I've had my art journal out, like a lot of us crafty people I've been doing some online classes (in between working full time), so when I saw this new Scrapmatts stencil I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it - Zentangling

Zentangle is a form of medatative doodling that has patterns, or tangles, put together to form a Zen-Tangle

These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles". It is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result

To start with I traced the stencil into my journal with a pencil, then I painted in the lines using black gesso and a fine paint brush.
The Zentangles are done using different size black felt tip pens

And because I love my flowers, I have softened the page by using and layering these flower stamps

The chipboard and some of the smaller sections of the stencil are coloured simply with a copper sharpy marker

Also to balance out my current working from home arrangement over the past 5 months, I have been participating in some monthly facebook challenges. This layout was done for a sketch challenge, and I had the perfect Scrapmatts chipboard to compliment it, so thought that I would share it with you

The film strip chipboard have been cut and layered to give extra dimension

The title has had a layer of purple wax over the top to help it stand out more on the page

I have to say, the photo is one that a friend of mine shared on facebook, and I love it, I can just sit and get lost in it

Can I encourage you, if you are a bit stuck for something to do, google "zentangle ideas", its super easy, you don't need to be able to draw, I can't. You can sit in front of the tv or your favourite movie and do it. You can do it in your journal, or on cardstock so you can use on a card, or a feature piece for a scrapbook page. You can add handwritten words into it, or if like me your handwriting is getting worse as we get older, grab yourself some Scrapmatts words to add to your project

Thanks for spending time with me again this month

Lots of layers & a beautiful niece - Scrapmatts

Good morning This month I did this layout using this beautiful photo of my beautiful niece. I used the Scrapmatts stencils in the background using texture pastes. Then fussy cut and layered the papers to match my photo. I left the Scrapmatts chipboard pieces in the raw this time so that they stood out rather than blending into the background To finish it off I added a few bling squares and covered some of the fussy cut pink flowers with glossy accents
